"We The People" Liberty and Justice Movement
AS REVISED IN 1968 AND SUBSEQUENTLY AMENDED
The Constitution of the State of Florida as revised in 1968 consisted of certain revised articles as proposed by three joint resolutions which were adopted during the special session of June 24-July 3, 1968, and ratified by the electorate on November 5, 1968, together with one article carried forward from the Constitution of 1885, as amended.
The articles proposed in House Joint Resolution 1-2X constituted the entire revised constitution with the exception of Articles V, VI, and VIII. Senate Joint Resolution 4-2X proposed Article VI, relating to suffrage and elections. Senate Joint Resolution 5-2X proposed a new Article VIII, relating to local government. Article V, relating to the judiciary, was carried forward from the Constitution of 1885, as amended.
Sections composing the 1968 revision have no history notes. Subsequent changes are indicated by notes appended to the affected sections. The indexes appearing at the beginning of each article, notes appearing at the end of various sections, and section and subsection headings are added editorially and are not to be considered as part of the constitution.

Necessary Items for an Emergency:
In an emergency situation, it is crucial to have essential items that can help you survive and stay safe. Here are some necessary items you should consider having in your emergency kit:
1. Water: Ensure you have a sufficient supply of clean drinking water. The general rule is to have at least one gallon of water per person per day for several days.
2. Non-perishable food: Stock up on non-perishable, easy-to-prepare food items that can last for several days. This can include canned goods, protein bars, and dried fruits.
3. First aid kit: A well-stocked first aid kit is essential in any emergency situation. It should include bandages, antiseptic wipes, pain relievers, and any necessary prescription medications.
4. Flashlight: A reliable flashlight with extra batteries is crucial for navigating in the dark during power outages or other emergencies.
5. Battery-powered or hand-crank radio: A radio can help you stay informed about the situation and receive important updates from local authorities.
6. Whistle: A whistle can be used to signal for help if you are trapped or in need of assistance.
7. Moist towelettes, garbage bags, and plastic ties: These items can help with personal sanitation and waste disposal in an emergency situation.
8. Wrench or pliers: These tools can be used to turn off utilities, such as gas or water, if necessary.
9. Manual can opener: If you have canned goods in your emergency kit, a manual can opener is essential for accessing the food.
10. Local maps: Having a map of your area can help you navigate and find your way to safety if needed.
11. Cell phone with chargers and a backup battery: A fully charged cell phone can be a lifeline in an emergency situation.
12. Cash or traveler’s checks: In an emergency, access to ATMs or banks may be limited. Having cash or traveler’s checks on hand can be helpful.
13. Important family documents: Keep copies of important documents, such as insurance policies, identification, and bank account records, in a waterproofcontainer.
14. Sleeping bag or warm blanket: In case of power outages or extreme weather conditions, a sleeping bag or warm blanket can help you stay warm and comfortable.
Remember to tailor your emergency kit to your specific needs and the types of emergencies that are most likely to occur in your area.
Regularly check and update your kit to ensure that all items are in good condition and that your supplies are up to date.
